A Glaswegian quartet that has gained cult status in their home-town. This LP is detailed and complicated, see-sawing from one segment to the next, with inventive jangly, post-hardcore guitar squall (think Thurston Moore & Lee Ranaldo style interplay) and an inherent prettiness that bubbles underneath, reminding of Women, the catchy chorus of ‘ ‘Once Powerful Uncle’ being an obvious example. They're a very clever band that incorporate their influences and concoct something unique.
